Welcome to our new blog

Welcome, and thank you for checking out the new blog.

This is where you can post items of interest to the United Church Community at large.
Someone creates a post, others can comment.
You may want to post something that begins with:

  • Coming up next week......
  • We're organizing a ......
  • Can anybody help with.......
  • I'd really like too see more.......
  • Did you get a load of Christopher's tie?
(Ok, let's not have the gossip. Besides, you're not very likely to see me wear a tie!)
If you have a log-in name for unitedchurch12834.org, you probably have permission to post here. If it doesn't work so good, send an e-mail to cfitz@unitedchurch12834.org or just give me a call.

Well, I invited myself to this blog. I accepted my invitation.

I must say, it's pretty easy.

If you would like to join the fun, you know what to do...

Christopher, This is really great. Thanks so much for your hard work.
I got a-hold of everyone on the committee and we're all set for our Thursday, Jan 10th meeting. Well, I actually I had to leave a message for Eric...not sure he'll answer, but...
I'm going to start writing the annual report for our group and use the Doc page...see how that works and all.

chow!

Christopher-This is so easy. A great addition to the church web page. I hope everyone gives it a try.

What a good call the worship committee made to cancel church services. A great snow day for all, here. Very pretty and it made for extra holiday cheer!

Putting the cancellation on the web site was an excellent idea, in addition to the phone tree. Maybe we can get the announcements to the television stations? Mary mentioned that we used to do that.

Web site looks terrific!

This morning Jay asked if a suggestion box could be developed. The blog could do this too, but getting "traffic" to the site is important. Could we use some kind of tracking to see how many users visit the site.

To that end it would be nice to get the church's URL into the Journal on a weekly basis.
